My Grandmother taught me how to respect our Mother Earth, to hug the trees, and how to learn from nature. I want to live a life more like my ancestors did, living in harmony with Mother Earth. Though I didn’t grow up surrounded by my indigenous relatives, I do long to learn their culture and to express my heritage.
